TIMES NOW: …Do you think the American government will get you?
JULIAN ASSANGE: I don’t think so. But only because we have a lot of support. It really is like that, we have people supporting us, doing a lot in various levels from demonstrations in the street to just recently, just yesterday 12 people went to an Obama fundraiser, paid 5,000 dollars per person*, sat at the table and altogether got up and sung how unhappy they were with the White House’s treatment of Bradley Manning, our alleged source who is in military prison. That spectrum of support is what is keeping us strong, is what is keeping these forces at bay…

Fresh Juice Party is honored to be the target of a little good natured ribbing from Jon Stewart and The Daily Show! (FJP at 1:50)

We wrote and performed the protest song sung at a Presidential fundraising event in SF in 2011.  Our song criticized the lack of transparency in American politics. The political stunt made all kinds of international news because the President was just a few feet away from us and we were able to sing our message directly to him. But getting mocked by Jon Stewart for protesting too politely was the pièce de résistance! Mr. Stewart, FJP always blow kisses when we blow your mind…

San Francisco Chronicle reporter, Carla Marinucci, was forced out of the White House reporters’ pool after posting a video of our protest that she recorded on her phone.  Free Press is another victim of the lack of transparency plaguing our government.

Today we will kickoff our “Occupy the Truth: Whistleblowers Conference!” The three day event will begin at 6pm on Friday, February 17th with a Bradley Manning Panel featuring Daniel Ellsberg, Ann Wright and Ray McGovern, followed by a performance by Reverend Billy!
