At the ending circle, the moderator asked us all to think of one word that described my feeling toward the experience of being there, and I would have to say it felt "holy". I think that is a strange thing to say, since it was definitely not a religious gathering (except for Reverend Billy :-) but that was my feeling. One of my new heroes is the young man, Andy, who went to prison for the crime of defending helpless animals. I really felt that with those remarkable people with such strong and noble intentions, there is great hope for a better world, and I fully expect that it will come to pass.
